The difference between Equal Opportunities and Diversity

Equal Opportunities is used to describe policies and practises that tackle inequalities aiming to ensure everyone is treated fairly and do not experience discrimination. Diversity is the differences in values, attitudes, beliefs, cultural perspectives, ethnic backgrounds, sexuality, skills, knowledge, and life experiences of every individual. It refers to the differences between people and is used to highlight different needs.

The Opportunity Sheffield Diversity Support Package is delivered in partnership by Exemplas and Square Orange.
